It is non-impact type of printer that uses a laser beam to produce an image which eventually appears as printed output.
Print Processors
Inkjet Printers have less powerful print processors and smaller amount of memory.
Laser Printers Contains more Powerful Print Processor and larger memories.
Printing Material
Inkjet Printers uses liquid ink for printing.
Laser Printers uses dry powder for printing which is termed as toner.
Printing Speed
Inkjet Printers have very slow printing speed.
Laser Printers have high printer speed.

Cost
Inkjet Printers uses simple printing technology and requires less expensive parts.
Print Technology used in laser printers is complex and requires expensive parts.
Printing Cost
Print per page cost is very high.
Print per page is 5 times cheaper than inkjet printers.
Maintenance
Inkjet printers require much maintenance as compared to laser printers. Keeping them idle for long time results in cartridge ink jam.
These printers can be placed idle for long time with no issue. Some common problems are fuser assembly sleeve change ,toner drum change etc.
Printing Quality
It is very difficult to maintain dots with liquid ink. it also has the tendency to smear on the print media. Hence slightly low resolution printing is achieved as compared to laser printers.
Print Quality is very high as it uses laser mechanism for printing.
